In the Porta Romana neighborhood, Armofer is intervening in the restyling of a 19th-century complex with an adjoining church and historic botanical garden, which will undergo restoration. The new project involves the construction of new fine residences with recovery and restoration of historic buildings. Up to the back of the seventeenth-century church, Armofer excavated and built supporting works for the construction of the perimeter berm and then the construction of two basement floors for garages. The detour of an underground water channel was also required. Having demolished the outbuildings, Armofer intervened with controlled dismantling of the facades and valuable architectural elements to be recovered and included in the new project. On-site operations were certified to the strictest LEED standards. All work was carried out under costate structural monitoring of the buildings and artifacts on the public street, including the public tramway.
