The end of 2023 marks the arrival on site for Armofer of the new Liebherr Tower Crane 470-EC-B-20.
Maximum height 240 m; maximum boom 85 m and capacity 20 ton.
Already operational on site to serve the most complex decommissioning operations, such as the procedure for lowering boilers from former thermal power plants. On the roof of the boiler house, 80/90 m above the ground Armofer brings the operating teams and the hydraulic unit with hydraulic jacks for lowering the boiler.
The brand new tower crane is an integral part of the abseiling operating procedure, having to progressively bring up and add to the abseiling system the high-strength steel bars to which the weight of the structure is entrusted during the translation phase.
